You cannot delete a category that has models associated
with it. Default: Models tab
As soon as you log in, the 3D Content Manager dialog box is displayed with the Models tab active. The left and right panels are dynamic.
Left panel. The Models tab is active, and the current catalog appears. The catalog includes a collapsed tree containing the model categories created for the catalog. Categories organize the contents of your model catalog. Each category can contain sub-categories or items that represent the models in your catalog.
Right panel. Displays the functions available with the active tab. Note that some of the functions listed are not available. With the Model tab active, you can do the following:
Search. Enter a model name and click or click Advanced Search to narrow the scope of your search.
Add Category. Creates a new category in your catalog at the root, or nested under existing categories.
Edit Category. Changes the title (used in the 3D ProductPage), the description, and the image.
Delete Category. Removes a category from the Model Explorer.
You cannot delete a category that has models associated
with it.
Add New Model. Adds a new item (file) at the root level or to a category that you select.
Import Model. Imports a model from another model catalog.
Cut Model. Transfers the selected model from the current category to the clipboard.
Paste Model. Pastes the model from the clipboard to the current location.
Delete Model. Removes the selected model from the catalog.
To see a model's attributes from the Model Explorer dialog box:
Select the model you want to view.
If necessary, click 
to expand
the catalog and view the categories
or sub-categories.
Click 
to collapse the catalog, a category,
or a sub-category.
The category dialog box displayed in the right columns lists all items (parts, assemblies, or drawings) associated with that category. From the Category dialog box, you can select a model using either function:
Select the check box next to the model.
A graphic preview of the model is displayed. You can display a full screen interactive 3D view or a small 3D interactive preview. To use the 3D interactive preview, place your pointer in the image area, and use the following controls:
Rotate - Left click and drag
Zoom - Right click and drag
Pan - Click both left and right, and drag
Select the model name.
The Attributes dialog box and a 3D interactive preview of the model are displayed, with the option to display a full screen interactive view. You can manipulate the 3D interactive preview as indicated previously.
On the right panel above the list of models, enter
the Number of models listed per page
and click 
.
The list is displayed with the number of models you specified.
Click the range links to view a specific set of
models or 
to view the next set.
Select the column heading to sort by .
Click 
or
beside the heading to sort the category in descending
or ascending order.
