To address modeling errors:
In Content Manager, select the model and change to the Operations tab.
Select Check Model to verify the errors.
Download the core model file: Download the core model of the catalog item from Content Manager and open it in the current version of SolidWorks. Check for any missing parts in the Zip file.
Determine if it is a Rules problem: If the catalog item has an associated Rules file, download it from Content Manager. Create a new project in PartStream Studio and specify that this Rules file be used. In PartStream Studio, select the exact same parameters that you chose on the web site and hit "Update Model". Look at the output window of PartStream Studio to see if any errors were generated.
Determine if it is a Design Table problem: If you encountered an error in PartStream Studio or the SolidWorks feature manager window during the update, then open up the design table and examine the contents, especially the first three rows. Look for any "#VALUE" entries
Determine if it is a basic Modeling problem: Switch the lower left pane to the configuration view and try rebuilding each configuration in SolidWorks by pressing Ctrl+Q. If there are too many configurations for this to be practical, you should at least rebuild the configuration the model opened in, then separately rebuild the configuration named "default" if that is different, and finally rebuild any configuration that you recognize that you accessed through the web site.
Determine if it is a Data Translation problem: If you originally saw the problem in Content Central by trying to download a file in some format other than SLDASM, SLDPRT, or SLDDRW, you will want to determine if you have a data translation problem. First, return to a state with the SolidWorks model that most closely approximates what the Content Central server had at the time you encountered the error. Output the model in the specified third-party format, then load it back in to SolidWorks, to see if the data made the round trip. You may also want to try loading in the third-party format results into its associated target application, if available.
Once you believe you have fixed the issue, select Update the Model in the Operations tab.
Once the model has been updated, select Check Model again to verify the model has been fixed.
Note: If the model's native format is something other than SolidWorks, you may need to open and fix the model with its native application.
